KCET Tech Fest Experience For Logic Constructor Competition
We have participated in many events in this Tech Fest and we enjoyed KCET. But our most wonderful experience was from this event. Currently, I am a student of BCA second semester of IKG PTU Amritsar. This semester we have a subject named computer system architecture. In which we study logic gates and logic circuits. So We have planned two weeks before this competition to participate in it. The coordinators of this contest told us what we needed to do. So, We were given a boolean equation which we need to implement on circuits and we need to make a truth table and simplification of the equation as well. The equation we were given was:
A’B’C’+B’+(A’B XOR C’D)+(AB.BC.AC.BD)
Every team was given a unique problem and the given time was 45 minutes. We started implementing it. First, we need to implement a full equation on circuits. After implementing it. We made a truth table on the given paper by checking the outputs on the circuit created by us. Next, we did a simplification of it. But we failed to do full simplification. We have not completed yet but time was over. The judges came and started checking one by one. They took their assessments and went to create results. The results are going to be announced at 3:00 pm. And our test was already over at 11:00 am. We were so confused that we should stay there or we should go home. Because we both lost our hope. We were just going to leave from here. Then My friend received a call from one of the judges. He asked full names of both of us. Then I thought that, If we have lost they are never going to ask our names. I said to my friend that we must have won a rank otherwise they are not going to call us. He also agreed with me and we casually participated in the Free Fire Competition. The Free Fire competition was over at 1:00 pm. We came out and went to eat something. We found a kulche wala near that college. We had our lunch and came back there. Finally, It’s time to announce the results. I was very scared that if we did not win my friend would not leave me, Because he is a working person and because of me he could not go to work. But we stood second in that competition with 1500 cash. I was relieved after our win. I gave 700rs to my friend and kept 1000rs with me.
I had a lot of fun there. I hope that I can participate in competitions like this in future.
