Brazil is the second largest producer of iron ore, which produced 410 million MT of useable iron ore in 2022 with iron content of 260 million MT. The states of Para and Minas Gerais, which together produce 98 percent of Brazil’s yearly iron ore output, are the major iron ore areas in the country.
