The Pacific time zone is United states one of the four major time zones that encompass the western united states, western Canada and western Mexico Places in this zone observe standard time by subtracting 8 hours from coordinated Universal Time (UTC -08:00). Whereas during Daylight Saving Time(DST) they observe time by only subtracting 7 hours from coordinated Universal Time (UTC -07:00). The daylight saving time is observed from the second week of March to the first week of November.
