Round 2 (Group Discussion)

At that moment, I hadn’t prepared for the group discussion and didn’t have any topics in mind. Upon arriving at college, I noticed that many students had been eliminated from the online test, leaving only a few of us to proceed to the next round, the group discussion. In my class, only 10 to 14 students were moving forward to this round. Feeling a bit nervous, I took a deep breath as my turn approached. I entered the hall where the round was being held. Inside, all the students were seated in a round shape, while the judges were seated at the front.

I settled into my position as the group discussion began with introductions. After everyone had introduced themselves, the moderator presented the topic for discussion:

‘Should Uniforms be mandatory in schools/colleges?’

As everyone began presenting their points of view, I took the first initiative to lead the group discussion. With a greeting and a word of thanks to the judges for selecting such an energetic topic, I set the tone for the discussion. Acknowledging the significance of the topic, I emphasized the importance of considering diverse perspectives and fostering an open exchange of ideas.

With that, I delved into the discussion, articulating my views on the topic and inviting others to share their thoughts. My initiative sparked a lively debate, with participants actively engaging in the conversation. It was inspiring to witness the enthusiasm and passion with which everyone contributed to the discussion.

By initiating the group discussion, I not only demonstrated leadership but also helped create a collaborative and inclusive environment.

After the group discussion concluded, I eagerly awaited the results. After a short while, the results were announced, and to my delight, I had cleared this round as well. Moving forward to the next stage, the HR interview, filled me with immense joy and excitement. It truly felt like a remarkable day, filled with rewarding experiences and achievements.

As I headed back home, reflecting on the day’s events, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of contentment and satisfaction. Each moment had been filled with anticipation, challenges, and ultimately, triumph. It was indeed a day to remember, one that left me looking forward to what the future held in store

Now, it’s the middle of my final year in engineering college, and I received a notification from my college’s WhatsApp group that Softenger India Pvt Ltd is coming for campus recruitment. The recruitment drive is scheduled for the next day. As soon as I arrived at college, our faculty began advising us to prepare for the tests and interviews. This recruitment event marks the culmination of our campus placement activities.

From that day onward, we all started searching for interview questions and what to expect in the HR final interview round, among other things.

1. Online Aptitude Test
2. Group Discussion

Campus Recruitment Day:

The day of the campus recruitment finally arrived. However, just before it commenced, a Google Form was circulated across all college groups inviting students from other colleges to participate in the drive. Fortunately, we had already filled out the form with all the necessary details.

The day of the campus recruitment began with the requirement to be present at the college by 9 a.m. I woke up early, quickly brushed up on some basic concepts, and got ready for college. Upon reaching the college at exactly 9 a.m., I noticed many students had already gathered at the destination. I assumed the process had already begun, so I joined the crowd. However, I soon realized that even the college doors were not open yet.

To pass the time, I relaxed with some water. When I asked some of the other students why they were standing there, they informed me that we needed to register ourselves using a Google Form. I mentioned that I thought we had already completed this form, but it turned out there was another form for reporting purposes. I scanned and filled out the reporting form and received a batch number, indicating that we were required to attempt an online test.
