Preparing for the Test Session at Home

- Ensure no other devices are connected to the internet during the test.
- Verify that the testing area meets all eligibility requirements, including a quiet and well-lit room with a clear tabletop surface and a chair positioned so that the proctor can see the door.
Checking In During the Test at Home
- The check-in process for TOEFL iBT Home Edition or the Paper Edition (speaking section) may take approximately 20 minutes.
- Candidates must check in within 12 minutes after the scheduled time to avoid test cancellation without a refund.
