Preparations Before You Leave for the Test Centre

Arrive at the TOEFL testing center at least 30 minutes before your scheduled test time to ensure ample time for settling in. Visit the testing center location a day before to familiarize yourself with the route. Have a nutritious breakfast and stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water. Opt for comfortable clothing, considering the possibility of air-conditioned testing centers to avoid discomfort. Avoid bringing valuable items to the testing center, as they are not permitted in the testing room. Allocate some time for relaxation before the exam to calm your mind and nerves. Prepare yourself mentally to switch into “English mode” by listening to English songs and practicing speaking and thinking in English. Ensure you have all necessary documents ready and arrive early to allow time for water intake and restroom visits. During the TOEFL Test

You will be provided with paper for taking notes and a pencil.  For the TOEFL Listening and Speaking section, you will have headphones with an attached microphone with which you will be recording your answers.  If you need any help, you can raise your hand to get attention from the invigilator. There will be a 10-minute break halfway through of the exam, after the Reading and Listening sections. That is just enough time to snack a bit and stretch your body.  In case of an emergency, you can take breaks during the test but the clock will continue ticking....

After the TOEFL Test

When you are finished, you can collect your belongings and leave the test room. You can leave early if you want....
