What are the restrictions on Google AI image generation?
There have to be some limitations with AI generation.
According to the company’s generative AI policy, the SGE includes safeguards that block banned content. Any content that promotes illegal activities, generates misinformation, or promotes sexually explicit content (unless it’s labelled as educational or artistic) falls under this category.
Each AI-generated image will also come with a watermark and metadata labelling tag. This is meant to show everyone that the content was generated by AI, thereby preventing false information from spreading.
As a precaution against this kind of misinformation in the future, Google plans to give all its AI-generated content a statement about what it created. This will provide context about what a user is looking at, so hopefully, it will prevent users from believing the AI-generated images or texts are real.
