Where to find the Downloads folder on Mac?
The Downloads folder is found on your Mac device in the user’s account folder. Locate the Downloads folder in the Finder sidebar, Dock, Web browser, and iBoysoft MagicMenu.
The Downloads folder is located in the sidebar of the Finder. In case you don’t find it under Favourites, you can follow these simple steps-
Step 1- Open Finder Preferences:
Open Finder and browse to the “Preferences” option.
Step 2- Enable Downloads in Sidebar:
Within the Preferences menu, go to the “Sidebar” tab and turn on the option to display the Downloads folder in the sidebar.
Step 3- Go to Download:
To quickly start the Downloads folder, you can use the “Go” menu and select “Downloads” or use the shortcut Option+Command+L.
You can also find the Downloads folder in the Dock, which is the row of app icons at the bottom or side of your screen.
Tip- The Downloads folder is also available in web browsers like Safari and Chrome. You can easily open your files once after the download is completed.
At the desktop of your Mac device, right-click on the blank area.
Now select Quick Access and then Downloads to open the downloads folder.
