Schneider Electric Internship Interview Experience

ng Flow:

  • Online test and resume shortlisting
  • Technical Interviews.
  • HR interviews.

Online test

  • The online test consisted of a basic technical test for 30 min. There were questions related to the syllabus taught in lectures, including Signal and Systems, Digital signal processing, Analog and digital circuits, Control Systems, Network Theory, Computer Communication Networks, Digital Communication, etc. All of them were MCQ-type questions. No negative marking was followed.
  • Followed by the technical test was an aptitude test and game rounds. It was divided into different sections for logical and analytical skills, verbal skills, memory skills, and motion skills. It did not have any negative marking either.
  • The final section was a behavioral test. This was a simple test with questions that I had to select on a scale of one to five. There were 100 questions and no time limit.

Technical Interviews:

  • Technical interviews were simple enough for me. They mostly asked questions on my project and few conceptual questions about digital and analog electronics.
  • There were two interviewers. They started the interview by asking me to introduce myself. Then they asked for my resume. From there we talked about the projects I did. Initially, they gave me a pen and paper and asked me to draw a block diagram for one of the projects, later we discussed more about it and I managed to answer all of their questions.
  • Later there were some situation-based questions, they asked me about my parent’s occupation and they asked me how I helped him in his occupation by designing an electronic system. Then they gave me a scenario (I don’t exactly remember it) and based on that they asked me to design a system that can make a proper decision for the scenario. After my answers they mentioned that they were not expecting exact answers from me, they just expected my approach towards the solutions.
  • Then there were some questions like What subjects did you study in your curriculum? But in my case, they didn’t ask me any questions regarding the subjects. Again they asked me my favorite subject and I answered digital and analog electronics. Then they asked me 2-3 questions on Op-amp and comparator.
  • In the end, they asked me which role I was interested in. They also asked if I had any questions for them (Ask at least one question to them, this shows your interest in the internship and company). This Technical Interview lasted up to 30-35 minutes.

HR Interviews:

  • The HR interview was short about 5 to 8 minutes. This started with a simple question, introduce yourself other than academics. Then he asked me about my hometown and how I came to Mumbai from there. Then he asked me about my plans for higher education and relocation.

Three days after the interview, I received the result and I was selected for the 2 months internship at Schneider Electric. Hope my Experience helps you and me all the best.
