Tongji University (同济大学) is a public university in Shanghai, China, supported by the Ministry of Education. It’s involved in important educational projects like Project 211, Project 985, and the Double First-Class Construction. Founded in 1907 by German doctors in Shanghai, the university now has over 2,815 professors, including 27 members of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering. Tongji University comprises 29 colleges, 11 affiliated hospitals, and 7 primary and secondary schools.
