What are Bar Magnets?
Bar magnets are rectangular magnets which develop a magnetic field around them because their north and south poles are at opposing ends of the magnet.They’re commonly made of materials like iron, cobalt, or nickel, which have magnetic properties, which shows their magnetic properties. Bar magnets have several applications, from compasses to electric motors, showing their ability to attract ferromagnetic materials and align with magnetic fields.
A bar magnet will align itself in a north-south position when it rests in the Earth’s magnetic field. A north magnetic pole is the north pole of a magnet such as this one or any other pole that matches it. A south magnetic pole is any pole that matches the south-seeking pole. Different magnets with unlike poles have an ability to attract one another, whereas similar poles are known to repel one another.
The magnetic poles may be easily seen with the help of a bar magnet. The poles of a magnet are its two ends, which are permanent magnets. A magnet’s force is represented by curving lines with arrows.
